Elton John’s new musical, BILLY ELLIOT, is “THE BEST SHOW YOU WILL EVER SEE” (New York Post). Thrilling audiences worldwide and winning ten 2009 Tony Awards® including BEST MUSICAL, the “BEST MUSICAL OF THE DECADE” (Time Magazine) is now playing in Chicago!

BILLY ELLIOT the Musical is the heartwarming celebration of one young boy’s triumph against the odds. Set in a small mining town, the story follows Billy’s journey as he stumbles out of a boxing ring and into a ballet class and discovers his dream to dance.

Full of life, laughter, award-winning choreography and an unforgettable score, this uplifting show is “IMPOSSIBLE TO RESIST” (Chicago Tribune).

Based on the international smash-hit film, BILLY ELLIOT is brought to life by the Tony-winning creative team — director Stephen Daldry, choreographer Peter Darling and writer Lee Hall — along with music legend Elton John, who has written what the New York Post calls “HIS BEST SCORE YET!”

Click to watch Dean Richard's review Shrek The Musical!

SHREK THE MUSICAL, based on the Oscar®-winning DreamWorks film that started it all, brings the hilarious story of everyone’s favorite ogre to life on the stage.

In a faraway kingdom turned upside down, things get ugly when an unseemly ogre – not a handsome prince – shows up to rescue a feisty princess. Throw in a donkey who won’t shut up, a villain with a SHORT temper, a cookie with an attitude and over a dozen other fairy tale misfits, and you’ve got the kind of mess that calls for a real hero. Luckily, there’s one on hand...and his name is Shrek.

Featuring a terrific score of 19 all-new songs, big laughs, great dancing and breathtaking scenery, WWOR-TV proclaims SHREK THE MUSICAL, “FAR, FAR AND AWAY THE FUNNIEST NEW MUSICAL ON BROADWAY!”

SHREK THE MUSICAL is part romance, part twisted fairy tale and all irreverent fun for everyone!
